(KRON) — A man “brutally attacked” at a San Jose light rail station in late September has died and the suspect now faces homicide charges, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.
The victim is one of two people the suspect attacked at Valley Transportation Authority stations last month, authorities say. The suspect, 23-year-old Brandon Fryshaw was arrested for attempted murder following an attack at the Gish Road station shortly before midnight on Sept. 29.
“When [authorities] arrived, they found a 42-year-old man who had been severely beaten and was suffering from significant head injuries,” the sheriff’s office said. “Emergency medical services rushed him to a nearby hospital.”
The victim remained hospitalized for critical head trauma until he died of his injuries
