LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - A commercial duck breeder in LaGrange County is under quarantine after bird flu was recently detected in its flock, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health (BOAH) reports.

A spokesperson with the agency says the unnamed LaGrange County duck breeder had a flock size of over 2,500.

According to the agency, the duck breeder has been quarantined, and a 10-kilometer control area is in place around the duck breeder, including parts of Elkhart, LaGrange, and Noble counties.

A 20-kilometer surveillance zone around the duck breeder has also been set up, which includes parts of Elkhart, LaGrange, and Noble counties.
