LADUE, Mo. - New details are emerging after a car crashed through a window at the Barnes & Noble in Ladue last Friday, leaving one dead and two injured.

According to the Ladue Police Department, the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Ladue Crossing Shopping Center, located in the 8000 block of Ladue Road.

When police arrived at the site, they located two people injured and a 74-year-old woman, who was later pronounced deceased.

Officials identified the woman as Paula Abboud. Her 75-year-old husband was one of the two victims hospitalized.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the driver behind the wheel during the crash told our partners that she thought she was pressing on the brake.
