FARMINGTON, Mo. -- A 16-year-old girl died in a crash on Highway 67 in Farmington Saturday morning while fleeing from police.

The crash occurred just north of Highway 32 around 9 a.m. when the teen lost control of her vehicle after police deployed stop sticks.

The girl was ejected from the car and died at the scene, according to troopers.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
