The Penguins unveiled their new third jerseys Thursday, wearing the all-yellow threads with matching socks and helmets for the home opener at PPG Paints Arena.

The new look harkens back to the ’80s and the early years here for Mario Lemieux.

One feature of note is an alternative jersey patch on the shoulders. That triangular logo has the image of an igloo and three yellow waves representing the Three Rivers.

Veteran winger Bryan Rust modeled the new jersey in a video released by the team.
