Longview city Council approved $5 million to be taken from reserve funds, which will go towards a replacement plans that will see some trucks replaced periodically, keeping the fleet fresh for decades. “It’s great feeling that the council was able to move forward with the replacement program that we put a step in the right direction and apparatus are replaced as needed,” said Greg Grimes, the Longview Fire Chief.
