Thursday night brought us the coolest temperatures we've felt in the Philadelphia area this season, with lows in the 40s in the city and into the 30s to the north and west where frost and freeze alerts were in effect.

A freeze warning is in effect Friday morning for the Lehigh Valley and Poconos. A frost advisory is in effect Friday morning for parts of the Delaware Valley west and northwest of Philly. Both alerts last until 9 a.m.

After that, Friday is a gorgeous fall day with sunshine and highs in the upper 60s. The normal high for this time of year is 70 degrees.
