Indigenous Peoples Day weekend celebrations in Santa Fe kick off with performances on the Plaza Saturday and Sunday and culminate Monday with the third annual Honoring Native Nations Powwow.
Saturday's performers include Danza Azteca de Anahuac from the Taos area at 10 a.m.; dancers from Pojoaque Pueblo's Poeh Cultural Center at 11 a.m.; Zuni Pueblo's Soaring Eagle Dance Group at 1 p.m.; and Acoma Pueblo's Pueblo Enchantment Dancers at 2 p.m.
The Pueblo Enchantment Dancers will be back at 1 p.m. Sunday, with Zuni Pueblo's Water Strider Dance Group at 11 a.m., the Acoma Family Dance Group at 2 p.m. and the Lightning Boy Hoop Dancers at 3 p.m.
