AMES, Iowa (KCAU) - Iowa State center Audi Crooks was named the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year. The Algona native averaged 23.4 points per game on over 60% shooting for the Cyclones.
Crooks is the fourth Cyclone to earn preseason player of the year honors and the first since Ashley Joens earned the honor in 2022.
Teammate Addy Brown was named to the Preseason All Big 12 for the first time in her career after finishing as a Second Team All-Big 12 nod a year ago.
As a team, ISU was picked to finish second in the Big 12 behind TCU receiving 2 of 16 first-place votes.
