Returned members of the Gazan aid flotillas have vowed to venture back to the Middle East after they were detained by Israeli forces.

Abubakir Rariq, Juliet Lamont, and Hamish Paterson were among the seven Australians intercepted by Israel’s naval forces and detained last week.

Chants of “free, free Palestine” and “Allahu Akbar” erupted in Sydney Airport on Friday morning as the sailors arrived through international arrivals.

Authorities had held the Australians in Ketziot prison at the Israel-Egypt border before deporting them to Jordan, from whence they flew back to Sydney.

Mr Rariq said he would continue fighting for Palestine despite his detention in Keziot.

“Until every square inch of Palestine is free we’ll continue fighting, (we will) continue advocating,” he said.
