Two people were rushed to hospital after a horror crash on a major road involving an SUV in Edinburgh. ‌

Emergency services raced to the two-vehicle smash on the A90 near Dalmeny at around 9.50am on Thursday, October 9. Crews attended and two people were taken to hospital. ‌

Recovery of the vehicles was arranged and the road has since reopened. Images taken from the scene show a navy SUV badly damaged after the incident. ‌

A pick-up truck appears to have veered off the road onto the grass verge. The bonnet of the car has been ripped off by the force of the impact with the engine block exposed. ‌

The picture shows the airbag activated and windows shattered following the incident .
