GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A First Alert to keep your baby safe while they sleep.

Unsafe sleep environments are a leading cause of death for our youngest children.

We bring this up because October is Safe Sleep and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Awareness Month.

Child health and safety experts say at night some parents may unknowingly be putting their child at risk.

The Center for Childhood Safety in Green Bay, and countless health and safety experts, say there are three simple things you can do to help protect them, by learning your ABC’s:

A is for Alone . Babies should always sleep by themselves, in their crib or bassinet.
