DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - De Pere’s Pink Flamingos will flock to Legion Park on Saturday for a new fundraiser.

It’s a collaboration with Celebrate De Pere called “Celebrate Flocktoberfest.”

It promises to combine the best of Celebrate De Pere and the Pink Flamingo Classic to raise money for another organization, Hands Across De Pere.

That nonprofit helps struggling families in both the West De Pere School District and the Unified School District of De Pere.

“Everything we do [is] to really allocate all of the funds within our city that we think need them. To us it’s important that we can put an event together but the community has to support it, and when the community comes together and they spend their money on food gives us the funds to divvy up in our community,” Celebrate De Pere vice
