ST. LOUIS -- Monte Henderson is set to be sentenced this morning for the deaths of Lety Bracero and her daughter Alyssa Cordova, who were hit and killed by Henderson's car in downtown St. Louis last year.

The sentencing will take place at the Civil Courts building in St. Louis at 10 a.m. Henderson, 23, pled guilty in July to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of armed criminal action. The tragic incident occurred early on Valentine's Day morning last year when Henderson, driving drunk and speeding, ran red lights and struck Bracero and Cordova.

"Our family is just heartbroken. It's just like a hole. There's not only one person missing, there's two," said Alice Bracero, a family member. "They're not here to celebrate birthdays. They're not here to celebrate holidays."
