Wicked filmmaker Jon M. Chu made a stop at the London Film Festival this morning, where he gave a free talk about his career and teased Wicked: For Good, debuting a new clip from the film for audiences.
Wicked: For Good doesn’t hit cinemas until November 21, so Chu urged the audience not to record or photograph the clip, which featured Ariana Grande’s Glinda and Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba, meeting for an emotional reunion after what appeared to be the events of the first film’s finale.
Speaking about the film’s construction and why the popular story was split into two parts, Chu told the audience in London that splitting the story “was already a debate” at Universal for many years when he joined the project.
