HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro joined a multistate lawsuit this week challenging President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard largely into Democrat-led cities and states.

The governor filed a brief along with 21 states, the governors of Kentucky and Kansas, plus Washington D.C., in support of Oregon in its legal challenge contesting Trump’s Guard order directing 200 troops to protect a federal immigration detention center subject to routine protests.
