A major grant is coming to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation. $600,000 is going to be directed towards the new hospital in Picton. It is coming from the Royal Bank of Canada Foundation Community Spaces Grant. The executive director for PECMHF Shannon Coull, says the funds will be directed toward the installation of a new solar panel system on the future hospital. Coull adds the system could offset close to a third of the hospital’s energy demand annually.
