LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Kiwanis Club of Lake Charles will be kicking off its 37th Coats for Kids Drive with its annual “Spooktacular” Halloween event later this month. We spoke with Tori Whittaker and George Navarro this morning to get the details.

Free family-friendly games, live music, activities, silent auctions, and raffles will be returning to Crying Eagle University on 1165 E. McNeese Street in Lake Charles on Friday, Oct. 24.

The event will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Attendees who donate a coat of any size will get a free raffle ticket for door prizes, and guests can purchase more for additional chances to win.

Donors will also receive a free cup and drink token for Crying Eagle craft brews.

Prizes include gift cards to local restaurants and shops, recreational experiences
