Sophie Cunningham was ready to spend her offseason on a new yacht in her name, and started a GoFundMe to crowdsource funds.

The 29-year-old Indiana Fever fan favorite joked Oct. 2 that she was raising money to cover her many fines during the season. "Or to charity or for a yacht idk....," she posted.

She chose the charitable option, posting an update on the GoFundMe link to announce as much: "A yacht would be nice, but whatever we raise here will be going directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities. I’ll take care of my own fines. Y'all are the best."

Donations poured in over a five-day stretch from $5 to $22, surely paying homage to Caitlin Clark , to as high as $2,699. In total, the funds raised reached $10,182 across 171 donations.
