PORT ANGELES — The tents are up and the crab pots are boiling as the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival takes over the Port Angeles waterfront this weekend.

Executive Director Rose Thompson says after a whirlwind first year at the helm, the team feels much more prepared this time around.

“I think last year we had a lot on our plate — building the organization, forming the board, and figuring out how everything worked. This year, we took on a big new challenge by running all the production ourselves and creating a clear timeline and playbook for how this festival runs,” said Thompson.

Thompson says there’s something for everyone — seafood and non-seafood dishes, local vendors, kids’ activities, beer and wine gardens, and live entertainment — all with free admission.
