YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- A York County bridge that closed for construction in June has reopened to traffic.
PennDOT announced Friday that the Sherman Street Bridge spanning Interstate 83 and Mill Creek between Olive Street in Spring Garden Township and Springettsbury Township in York County is once again open to traffic.

The closure started in June. PennDOT says an additional span of the bridge was constructed on the existing three-lane, two-span bridge.
This was part of the I-83 North York Widening initiative.
A detour was put in place for the closure, but it has since been lifted.
