UPPER PENINSULA, MI-- Autumn’s vibrant colors are beginning to emerge in Michigan’s eastern Upper Peninsula.

The foliage is rapidly approaching peak color across a vast stretch from U.S. 2 to M28, and from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore to Tahquamenon Falls State Park .

As the temperatures begin to dip, the colors are starting to pop in several areas in the region. In areas like H-58 and M-123, the colors dominate the curves of the winding roadways

The last two years, the U.P. has ranked No. 1 in the country in USA Today’s 10Best list of Best Destinations For Fall Colors and there is clearly good reason for that.
