New Delhi: As the stalemate over the approval of AIIMS to Kerala continue, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan following a meeting with Prime minister Modi and top ministers including Amit Shah stated that he had spoke about the need for the central medical institute in the state and is hopeful that the central government will act proactively on the matter.

“I spoke to Prime minister Narendra Modi on the allotment of AIIMS to Kerala. During the meeting the important aspect that was spoken was about the immediate financial assistance the state requires including the increase in fund allotment towards Wayanad. I am hopeful that the centre will take a positive step on this regard”, said Pinarayi Vijayan.
