About “Monster in the Family”

Based on the memoir “Fear of Our Father: The True Story of Abuse, Murder, and Family Ties,” the new Lifetime movie, “Monster in the Family,” follows child abuse survivor Stacey Kananen (Elisha Cuthbert), whose already complicated family dynamic was further twisted when her brother, Rickie (Brendan Taylor), confessed to killing their parents. Not only did he admit to the crime, but he implicated her as well — claiming that Stacey was instrumental in helping him carry out the murder.
