Brooklyn, a gentle and loving dog, experienced one of the hardest times of her life after being surrendered to a shelter when her owner moved out of state. Suddenly, the home she once knew was gone, and she was left wondering why her world had changed so drastically.

Adjusting To Life At The Shelter

Brooklyn arrived at the Manhattan facility of Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) .

She had difficulty adjusting to the shelter’s environment. Missing her owner terribly, she often waited near her kennel door as if expecting to see a familiar face appear at any moment.
