MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County residents still recovering from summer flooding have one month left to apply for federal help. The deadline for FEMA Individual Assistance is Wednesday, Nov. 12.

So far, FEMA has provided nearly $92 million to flood survivors across Wisconsin, including $82.7 million to more than 15,000 Milwaukee County residents. The SBA has also approved $10.2 million in loans for local homeowners, renters, and businesses.

Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley said in a Friday, Oct. 10 press release that he realizes it can seem like a difficult process, but he wants people to know that help is available. "With only one month left to apply, I strongly urge everyone affected by the flood to start their application today. Don’t wait until the last minute."
