A man has been arrested after a gun was pointed at West Midlands Police officers in the Black Country.

The police were trying to arrest a man who was wanted for offences on Kelvin Road, Walsall , around 5pm on Wednesday (October 8) when a firearm was produced.

He fled and officers started a search.

A suspect was eventually detained around 12.30pm on Friday at a location on Abingdon Way in Bloxwich.

WMP said: "A man has been arrested after our officers were threatened with a firearm.
