COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A family is preparing to say goodbye to a nine-month-old girl who died in a shooting at a Cobb County motel in September.

Cobb County Police arrested five suspects in connection with the incident that happened at the Budgetel Inn & Suites located on Circle 75 Parkway near The Battery on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Warrants obtained by 11Alive allege that one of the suspects, Jayvian Young, "did make an assault upon" the first suspect arrested and accused of shooting the nine-month-old gir l, Ladarrius Brown. It goes on to say that while in the commission of an aggravated assault, he "did cause the death of a nine-month-old female."

Both Young and Brown were arrested along with Noah Martin, Anthony Smith, and Camron Harris.
