One organization is hosting a day of fun and education.

The YMCA of Greater Erie is holding its Family Fit Fun Day on Saturday, Oct. 11. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Y’s Camp Sherwin location at 8600 West Lake Road in Lake City.

With Halloween coming up, UPMC Health Plan and UPMC Children’s Hospital will be teaching the public about dental health.

Guests can participate in fitness activities and an engineering activity with Wabtec. They can enjoy visits from Therapy Dogs United, visit Magic Steve for balloon animals, and participate in apple-based activities with Burch Farms as well.

This event is free and open to the public.
