Bhopal, Oct 10: A 22-year-old final-year engineering student, and brother-in-law of a senior police officer, died after he was allegedly assaulted by two constables in Bhopal during the early hours of Friday.

The deceased, identified as Udit, was the brother-in-law of DySP Chetan Aglak, posted in Balaghat district. His family has demanded a murder case against the suspended constables Santosh Bamaniya and Saurabh Arya.

According to reports, Udit was partying with friends in C Sector, Indrapuri, around 2.30 am when police arrived following complaints of noise. One of Udit’s friends told NDTV that Udit panicked on seeing the police and ran toward a dark alley, where the two constables chased and caught him.
