LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Lincoln Police Department issued 42 citations while conducting alcohol and tobacco compliance checks throughout the city.
From mid-July to mid-September, additional undercover police officers were assigned to work overtime to ensure the compliance of tobacco and alcohol sales in Lincoln.
Officers visited 209 businesses in Lincoln and issued 42 citations. LPD said 40 businesses sold tobacco to people under 21 and two businesses sold alcohol to a minor.
LPD provided a breakdown of businesses visited and violations found across the city:
