SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - Around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Sioux Falls police were called to a multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area of 12th and Summit.
The incident was initially logged as an aggravated assault, but has since been reclassified to a weapons violation, according to the police briefing.
There were no injuries reported. Officers on scene found a vehicle with a bullet hole in it, as well as a tree, along with several shell casings found on the ground.
SFPD is still investigating the incident, and is asking citizens that may have video surveillance from that time and place to contact the police at their non-emergency line (605)367-7700.
