Two men have been arrested and charged over multiple alleged offences as part of an operation supported by the Retail Crime Taskforce in Glasgow.

Officers in Cathcart have been investigating persistent offenders involved in acquisitive crime in the area.

Following the probe, a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with two robberies, six thefts by shoplifting, and a breach of a non-harassment order.

The alleged incidents took place between Saturday, September 20, and Thursday, October 9, in the Castlemilk and Muirend areas. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, October 10.

Another man, aged 49, was arrested and charged in connection with six thefts by shoplifting, between Monday September 1 and Thursday October 2 in Shawlands .
