CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- If you’ve driven around lately, you may have noticed the fleet from Bradham Comfort Services decked out in a distinct lavender hue that stands out on the road.

At first glance, it might seem like just a bold branding choice, but for owner Pete Bradham, the color carries a much deeper meaning.

“When you’re going up to the stop light, you see this purple truck and think, ‘What’s going on here?'” said Bradham.

Originally, Bradham wasn’t sold on the look.

“My wife was telling me purple is a great choice,” he said. “I didn’t really like purple, but, you know, maybe it is the right thing.”

That “right thing” turned out to be personal. The color purple represents Alzheimer’s awareness, a disease that has profoundly affected Bradham’s family.
