AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) - The Texas Department of Public Safety launched its "Keeping Texas Families Safe" campaign Friday, the third piece of its overarching "90 Days of Safety" campaign that began in August.

The 30-day campaign, as described by Texas DPS, will feature a new public service announcement and social media messaging to raise awareness of health and safety dangers Texans may encounter at home or online.

"Texas faces more threats today than at any other time in our lives — and some of those threats are right down the street or on the other side of a computer screen,” said Homeland Security Division Chief Gerald Brown. “It’s more important than ever that we stay educated and remind ourselves to be vigilant in the face of potential danger.
