MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - The Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation has formed a timeline to appoint a replacement for former trustee Matt Chaffee, who announced his resignation earlier this week .
The district Chaffee has notified the St. Joseph County Office Clerk of the Circuit Court of his resignation, which is required by law, as well as the P-H-M board attorney.
Chaffee’s resignation comes more than a year after fellow board members unanimously passed a resolution calling for him to resign over allegations of misconduct made by a local blogger. Chaffee has since filed a defamation lawsuit against the blogger.
