CANTON ‒ A judge set bond at $1.1 million for a man accused of firing through the wall of a North Canton apartment , shooting a woman in another unit.

Canton Municipal Court Judge Richard J. Kubilus set bond for Brian K. Francisco II, 38, at his Oct. 10 arraignment on charges of felonious assault, improper discharging of weapons and inducing panic.

Francisco shouted during his brief court appearance that his rights had been violated and for that reason, he should be released.

His wife Kristen Francisco said after the hearing that his behavior in court was not typical. She said he was having a psychotic episode caused by his bipolar disorder because he is not managing his medications properly.
