A suspected serial killer laced her victim’s stew after being hired by his daughter.
Michele Paiva da Silva allegedly paid her friend Ana Paula Veloso to kill her father, 65-year-old Neil Correa da Silva.
Veloso reportedly laced feijoada – a traditional Brazilian stew made with beans and meat – with rat poison. Her victim died hours after eating the stew at his home in Duque de Caxias, Brazil, on April 26.
Both women are currently under arrest, and messages exchanged between Veloso and the daughter reportedly discussed poisoning Neil.
During the search of Veloso’s home, officers found terbufos, an illegal poison typically used to kill rats.
