PHOENIX – Drivers don’t have to worry about Valley freeway closures during what’s expected to be a rainy weekend, but one Phoenix-area city is planning multiple road restrictions for a big festival.

The Arizona Department of Transportation doesn’t have any detours scheduled for improvement projects in its Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory for Oct. 10-13.

With no Valley freeway closures, what should drivers watch for this weekend?

Despite the absence of Valley freeway closures, ADOT officials are warning motorists to be prepared to slow down on wet roadways and avoid driving into areas with standing or flowing storm runoff.
