TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — The Winn-Dixie store located in Trussville is set to transition to a Food City location in early November as part of a broader divestment plan by the grocery chain.

In a statement this week, Winn-Dixie confirmed that three Alabama stores — in Trussville, Fultondale, and Jasper — will be divested to Food City, which is expected to assume operations next month.

“This decision is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of our business, and allows us to accelerate reinvestment into innovation and the renewal of our store fleet,” Winn-Dixie said in a statement.
