Chennai: In a dual initiative to manage the festive rush and ensure passenger safety, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced a series of special trains between Bengaluru and Chennai, while the Southern Railway has issued a strict warning against carrying flammable items, including firecrackers, on trains during the Diwali season.

To ease passenger congestion and facilitate travel for the upcoming festival, SWR will operate special trains on key dates. The special train (No. 06255) will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 8:05 AM on October 18, 21, and 25, arriving at Chennai Central at 2:45 PM on the same day.

For the return journey, train No. 06256 will leave Chennai Central at 4:30 PM on October 18, 21, and 25, reaching KSR Bengaluru at 10:45 PM. These trains will make stops at major
