SOUTH FULTON, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - In a gesture of compassion during unimaginable grief, a South Fulton funeral home owner is donating his services to help a mother say goodbye to her baby killed by gun violence.
Nine-month-old Aziah McDougle was killed in a shooting outside a Cobb County motel in September. Her wake is taking place at 4 p.m. Friday at Speaks Funeral Home and Cremations, where the owner is providing a portion of his services at no cost to the family.
Tyrone Speaks, owner of Speaks Funeral Home and Cremations, said helping families through such tragic circumstances requires creating a safe space for healing.
