HANOVER PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- A car crashed into a west suburban home Friday morning, police said.

Chopper 7 was over the scene in the 4200-block of Woodlake Drive in Hanover Park about 11:30 a.m.

A home in the area had sustained major damage, and at least one car was in the wreckage.

Hanover Park police said a sedan driving on Woodlake Drive left the roadway and crashed into the home, causing significant structural damage.

The driver and a resident in the home were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The driver's sister, Valerie Mele, said the 52-year-old woman is in the hospital with a broken arm.

Hanover Park police believe she may have had a medical emergency.
