HOWES CAVE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Over a dozen cats that the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley believes had been dumped were corralled from Doc Reilly Park in Howes Cave on Monday. Roughly 14 cats and kittens have been caught so far, and shelter officials believe there could be up to 4 still roaming the park.
The shelter has set out Havahart traps in the park to catch the remaining cats and kittens. Officials on Monday said seven cats were treated for dehydration, flea and tick infestations, eye and ear infections, and were fed. • (Courtesy: Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley) • A cat found in Schoharie's Doc Reilly Park on October 6 soaks up some tender love and care after being captured by the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley.
