WILMINGTON — Months after DuPont assured shareholders it had a robust pipeline for potential acquisitions, the company announced it intends to acquire a reverse osmosis membrane manufacturing company in China.
The Sinochem Memtech Company’s factory in the Zhejiang Province of China will become DuPont’s third reverse osmosis manufacturing facility. The acquisition fits into DuPont’s strategy to localize manufacturing in key markets, a strategy that has likely become critical in the face of sweeping tariffs for U.S. imports and exports. The acquisition is expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2025.
