CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) - The Cannon Air Force Base has issued an all clear after an active shooter situation prompted a lockdown this afternoon.
Around 12:40 p.m., the base entered active shooter protocol, according to a report from The Eastern New Mexico News.
An emergency alert said there was a shooter on the base and people should take shelter immediately.
Both Cannon AFB and Chavez Housing were on lockdown.
As of 1:03 p.m. MST, the base declared an “all clear.”
