EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Two teens spent some time in jail after stealing items from victims’ cars in Vanderburgh County.

That’s according to the Evansville Police Department, who arrested 18-year-old Jayden Cain and Paulie Gibson II early Friday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m., officers were called to the 1400 block of E. Illinois Street for a report of two males trying to open car doors in the area.

The males, Cain and Gibson, were found nearby and taken into custody.

Officers say Cain admitted to breaking into cars after the officer explained Ring cameras caught them in the act.

When asked why they were doing it, Cain said they were “bored”.

According to an affidavit, Cain admitted breaking into five vehicles.
