(Columbia, MO) — Some of Missouri’s craft brewers may be making some business model adjustments due to basic economics. Sherry Wohlgemuth of the Missouri Brewers Guild says a combination of factors have presented some challenges for brewers across the country this year. She says some the factors, including higher production costs, are prompting some beer makers to produce fewer versions of their product. She says it’s an industry that is also sensitive when consumer budgets are tightened, because craft beer tends to have a higher price point.
