The Liberal Party is committing to hiring more teachers and student assistants over the next two years if elected.
The provincial government set aside funding to hire 400 teachers and other education resources in the last budget, and Liberal Leader John Hogan is promising to hire more.
He says if re-elected, they plan to hire 100 more teachers and student assistants across the province over the next two years. He’s also promising to reduce the standard class size by two students in grades 1 to 9.
The Liberals will introduce a one-time moving allowance of up to $500 per student to help with expenses to attend post-secondary, if re-elected.
Hogan is committing to introduce an Indigenous history, language and culture module for elementary and junior high students, reforming the curriculum
