BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Get ready for some high-octane fun this weekend when lawn mower races hit the track at the Brazos Valley Fair and Rodeo.

This isn’t your backyard mowing -- these mowers are built for speed, and the competition is fierce.

Modified to the strict safety rules, blades removed, and engines capped. Riders hit speeds up to 50 mph on oval dirt tracks, opening the action to all ages and experience levels.

Expect hot laps, heats, and a 20-lap feature race per class, plus a lively “meet & greet” in the pits where racers are on hand for photos and autographs.
